Lead Software Engineer – QA

Location: Dublin / Hybrid

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer – QA to own and drive automated software validation across a complex, safety-critical technology platform. This is a senior, hands-on role focused on building scalable test frameworks, tooling, and validation infrastructure that enables teams to ship quickly with high confidence.

Quality is treated as a core engineering discipline, not a final checkpoint. You’ll work closely with software engineering teams to embed robust testing and reliability practices across the full system.

What you’ll do

• Define and own the end-to-end automated testing and validation strategy

• Architect and build scalable test frameworks (unit, integration, system, end-to-end)

• Develop test harnesses for distributed and real-time systems

• Ensure tests are reliable, maintainable, and provide fast, actionable feedback

• Own test observability, reporting, and quality metrics

• Influence best practices in testing, validation, and safe release strategies

• Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of shared ownership for quality

What you’ll bring

• Strong software engineering background with experience building test frameworks or developer tooling

• Deep understanding of modern testing strategies and automation

• Experience with distributed, real-time, or hardware-adjacent systems

• Ability to lead technical strategy and influence across multiple teams

• Experience with languages such as Python, Java, C++, or similar (language-agnostic role)
